a picture book for children ages 5-10
Would you trust a fire breathing dragon?
A Kingdom secluded from the world must send its bravest knight to battle the dragon who keeps them from journeying beyond their border.
This children’s story has a classic fairy tale feel with a modern twist. Children will see compassion and kindness in the pages, and learn to not judge others on preconceived notions. An old-fashioned-like story with a good moral at the end, how can you go wrong?

Book 2 in the Hart Girl's Adventures Series, an Elementary Chapter Book Series for ages 6-11
What to do when your family vacation suddenly includes an abominable snowman?
Ah, vacation. Maybe a fun family ski trip will keep those tricky Hart sisters busy enough. But what’s this? Did those ladies say something about a mysterious creature in town? Could it be another werewolf or something else?
When Aspen, Rosie, and Emma hear of a creature who wanders the town at night, they know they’ve found their next adventure. The sisters never expected to find an abominable snowman on their simple family trip, and they definitely didn’t expect the problem he has either. Will they come to the rescue again? Or is this mountain sized issue just too big for them?

Whoa! Was that a mini earthquake? What is happening in Sicily, and why aren’t the locals worried? It doesn’t take long for Aspen, Rosie, and Emma to spy their next mission: a stumbling, bumbling Cyclops! The Hart Girls’ have their eyes on yet another mystery, but does he have his eye on them?

My name is Leigh Ann Hughes. I am happily married to the love of my life for over 20 years. We have three beautiful daughters that both fill my life with joy and drive me crazy. Finally, to round out our family, we have a very rambunctious Golden Doodle dog, a sassy cat, and a laid back bearded dragon.
I have been an avid reader my whole life, and spend all my free time reading. When I was younger, I tried my hand at writing stories. One time an author visited my school, and I happily shared with her one of my stories. She was very supportive and told me to never stop writing. Sadly, I did for many years. As it goes for most people, my preteen, teen years, and young adulthood were quite busy. When my children came along, my creativity flourished once again, and here we are!
I’m ecstatic to have “Cob & the Kingdom” as my first published book. Following a picture book with an Elementary Chapter Book series seemed like a great next step. From there, I have other characters and books clamoring to come forth in my brain. So stay tuned for all of that and more!
